NOCTURNALTM KNOW YOUR TOPOGRAPHER

Topography is essential to understand the vision change patients get. These exercises will help you learn how to use your topographer to understand the corneal changes. These can be done before you need to fit a night lens patient.

  • The topography we need for a night lens wearer is the Subtractive map. This is a combination of the Baseline map and the Review map. This shows the treatment zone which is the amount of power change and where it is on the cornea.
  • Because we are comparing two maps it is really important that both maps are accurate and good quality.
  • Use these tutorials to get practice with your topographer and understand-
    • How to instruct the patient to get the best capture qualities you can.
    • How to check the captures are good quality
    • How to interpret Subtractive maps
