ABOUT SCOTLENS
THE UK’S BEST FIT | BEST QUALITY | BEST RESULT CUSTOM MADE GP LENSES
In 2003 we delivered the UK’s first CE Ortho-K lens, possibly the first in Europe. And we’ve been a leading UK GP lens innovator and maufacturer ever since. We want to be known as the ‘Rolls Royce’ of the speciality custom fit lens sector, to set the bar others aim to achieve. Yes, we are smaller than most of our competitors, but we’re proud to punch above our weight on the quality of our lenses, our ECP training and in-chair ‘on call’ support which, when combined, will give your patients the best fit and the best end result with their vision to transform their lives.

WHY DO WE HAVE THE BEST LENSES?
Our founder, Optometrist Jack Brown, pioneered some of the earliest lenses in the 1970’s. His goal: to create the perfect lens to give his patients the best result. His son, Scott Brown, followed in his footsteps – also an Optometrist obsessed with creating the perfect lens. Scott designed the stable of lenses we make today. We are still the only UK manufacturer which doesn’t polish our lenses as we finish them to the highest spec in the UK. Every lens is handled and checked by at least 2 people before it goes out of the door and every new fit lens comes with a New Fit Guarantee. When you buy a Rolls Royce you expect it to be perfect. We follow the same principle. As Scott fits our lenses to his own patients, anything other than perfect doesn’t make sense.

HOW DO WE ACHIEVE THE BEST FIT & THE BEST RESULT?
To achieve the best result for a patient requires teamwork between us as the manufacturer and you, the ECP. Scott, as an Optometrist, not only designs the lenses, but has been fitting them to his own patients for nearly 20 years. As a recognised expert in specialist GP lenses for irregular eyes, difficult patients are often referred to Scott. All of this knowledge and experience goes into our ECP training, support and in-chair assistance, which Scott personally delivers. Throughout the year Scott delivers CPD, workshops and online guides to keep everyone engaged and up to date.
