KNOW YOUR TOPOGRAPHER – SUBTRACTIVE MAPS

Watch the following video to help you get the best  results from your topographer.

✅ TASKS TO DO

Get a baseline map for a patient and then a review map taken over a minus powered soft contact lens.

Use the Subtractive function (B-A) using the axial power scale to show the power change caused. This should be the same as the lens power.

Get familiar with-

  • Selecting the baseline and review map.
  • Altering the scale to around 1.00D more than the lens power so the scale is appropriate
